DOUBLE CŒUR is based in Illkirch-Graffenstaden, just south of Strasbourg. We produce metal parts using laser welding for manufacturers in the Bas-Rhin and Grand Est regions of France, in small and medium production runs, with quality standards tailored to the automotive, aeronautics, energy and e-mobility sectors.
A laser subcontractor at the heart of Strasbourg’s industrial basin
The industrial fabric of the Strasbourg region includes equipment manufacturers, mechanical SMEs and prime contractors whose assembly requirements leave no room for approximation. Working with a laser welding service provider in Strasbourg means shortening decision-making circuits, facilitating upstream technical exchanges and reducing logistics lead times. Our production site can be reached from the center of Strasbourg in less than fifteen minutes, making it possible to visit workshops, carry out spot checks on parts, and achieve a level of responsiveness that would otherwise be impossible.
DOUBLE CŒUR was born within IREPA LASER, a reference center for laser technologies for over forty years, also headquartered in Illkirch-Graffenstaden. This local origin is not a detail: it means that the expertise accumulated over decades of laser R&D is directly mobilized in every industrial production we carry out for our customers in 67 and the surrounding region.
What our laser welding service covers
Our offer covers the entire cycle, from process development to delivery of inspected parts. We can handle laser welding of metal parts in small and medium production runs, provide support during the product development phase, manage residual batches and handle urgent production. Our multi-axis robotized cells handle complex geometries, and our high-power laser machines, up to 10 kW, enable us to work on parts ranging from a few millimeters to several meters. Each project is monitored by a dedicated process engineer, who ensures consistency between your specifications and production parameters.
Materials and configurations
Industrial laser welding is compatible with a wide range of metals and alloys. We routinely work on aluminum and its alloys, austenitic and martensitic stainless steels, titanium, copper, Inconel and nickel-based superalloys. Our mastery of laser-material interaction, built up over forty years of processes at IREPA LASER, enables us to handle multi-material assemblies and geometric configurations that traditional processes (TIG, MIG) cannot achieve with the same level of precision and repeatability.
Quality, traceability and certification
DOUBLE CŒUR is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Each batch produced is subject to complete documentary monitoring: welding parameters recorded, dimensional checks, non-destructive testing according to customer specifications, and part-by-part traceability when required by specifications. For Strasbourg-based principals operating in regulated sectors – automotive, aeronautics, energy – this rigorous documentation is a non-negotiable condition that we integrate right from the quotation phase, and not at the end of the chain.
Why work with DOUBLE CŒUR rather than a distant service provider?
Proximity is not enough to justify a choice of subcontractor. What makes the difference here is the combination of a local presence and an industrial infrastructure that few players in France can match: more than twenty industrial lasers, including high-power fiber sources up to 10 kW, a team of around ten specialized engineers and technicians, and the ability to intervene from pre-production to regular production batches. For manufacturers in the Strasbourg area, this means access to top-level technical expertise, without having to mobilize in-house resources or invest in dedicated equipment.
DOUBLE CŒUR’s laser welding subcontracting also adapts to critical phases: machine overload, equipment stoppage, unforeseen rate increases. We have been designed to absorb these situations without disrupting production for our customers.
